How do I become a member of AVORE?

To become an active, non-voting member and receive meeting announcement you only have to phone, fax or email the Executive Secretary – see Members, Offices and Committees for this information.

What is an AVORE Council Member?

An AVORE Council Member is an active, voting member of the AVORE Council.  Only Council Members attend the business meeting and vote upon matters that are presented at that meeting.  Only Council Members can serve on the four Committees or as an officer.

How do I become a Council Member?

 To become a Council Member one must:

1)     Attend at least three meetings

2)    Obtain recommendation by a Council Member

3)    Deliver a letter of application to the President requesting Council membership

4)    Make at least 2 presentations of substance

5)    Receive a positive vote of 100% of the Council members present at the business meeting.

How can I attend an AVORE meeting?

To attend an AVORE meeting, one only has to pre-register with the Executive Secretary and pay the registration fee for that meeting.

Where are the AVORE meetings held?

The meetings are held in different locations each year for added enjoyment of the attendees.  The Winter Meetings are currently being held in the San Diego area.  The Summer meetings are held in different locations that are determined by the Council Members during the regular Business Meeting.

When are the meetings held?

The AVORE Winter Meeting is usually held during January and the Summer Meeting is held the end of July or first half of August.  These times are flexible to accommodate the schedule of our guest speakers, the availability of the facilities and decided upon by the Council Members during the Business Meeting.
